Welcome to the second edition of our new monthly newsletter "The VOICE" for Parents for Mask Free Education.
We’re a collective of parents concerned about our children’s future, and our numbers are growing every day. One of our key efforts is holding school boards accountable for arbitrary decisions to impose mandatory masks on young children, in some cases without consulting public health units first. The newly mandated province wide Lockdown is taking its toll. Forced online Schooling is nearing the end of its first week and we understand the Teacher Unions are campaigning to Regional Health Units to stop the return of elementary students to school at the end of the week. We are asking any and all parents and family to drown out this pressure and call your health units and let them know you want to see kids back in school as planned as the Education Minister has stated time and time again that Children in school are not responsible for the climbing “ numbers” and are not super spreaders. Please record your conversations and submit them to us! We would be happy to post them anonymously! We also want to hear from you! If you have a story about your child being harmed by mandatory mask mandates, social isolation by online schooling/in-schooling measures or any other harmful effects of the COVID-19 lockdown, please tell us your story. Written testimonials are welcome, but ideally, we’d love video testimonials that we can post to our website. The more stories we can collect, the more impact our collective voice will have. Our hope is for this movement will drown out the voices of media and the official narrative to really show what’s happening to people in their daily lives. If you want to submit a video story without showing your face, we can accommodate that as well. We are also looking at starting a monthly virtual meeting where parents can share their stories and strategize on future initiatives to raise awareness of the harms imposed on children from the COVID-19 lockdowns. One of the actions we’re looking at organizing is a virtual gathering of like minded parents. Details coming soon! We are also looking for volunteers for our group to help various forms of outreach. If you have any experience with the following:

Seminole parents urge end to school face mask rules - Orlando Sentinel MY STORY: Tara, a member of UnmaskKids – My Story submitted a photo of her son with a skin irritation. She writes: “This is what masking all day is doing to my son. Every week his voice becomes hoarse, as though he's about to get a cold. Throughout the weekend of breathing oxygen, and the supplements we give him, it clears up and disappears. I'm disgusted that the school is doing this to my child and his natural, social, huggable personality is getting him in trouble because of the "safety concern". Believe me, I would keep him home if that were possible. Not all parents can afford to stay home, nor all children able to complete school work online.” JOIN US!
